All of our classes offer modifications
allowing you the opportunity to adapt
and meet the needs of your practice.
New to yoga
As a new student, we recommend that you begin with yin, hatha or restorative classes which are slower paced until you are more familiar with the flow series. A yoga private session(s) or an introductory workshop are other great options. Please call us at 920.651.1279 if you are unsure of where to begin.
About your personal practice:
In all classes you are encouraged to abandon the competitive mindset, to simply listen to your body and adjust to your needs. On some days you may feel the need to take it slower and rest more during your practice. On others, you may feel the desire to work with more intensity. With a regular yoga practice you will gain flexibility, strength, balance and so much more.
The practice of yoga begins before your class starts. To create the best experience for yourself and others, we ask that you follow these guidelines:
Testimonial on keeping up with a consistent yoga practice...
I have practiced yoga for about 5 years for 2 reasons:
1) During the hour of practice, no one judges, corrects or criticizes. I'm completely at ease and focused on the practice. It relaxes the mind.
2) After a few weeks of practice, muscle tone improved; after a few months, most muscle and nerve (e.g. sciatica) aches disappeared; after several years, my posture straightened. I feel light on my feet, proud, young and healthy. I'm 61.
